Busy 2018 Summer For NYYC

The summer will be really hot for the New York Yacht Club during 2018. The NYYC will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Newport Race Week in 2018. It is touted to be a very busy event that will see a huge number of multihull and keelboats hit the shores. They will be coming from New England and other areas. Newport will be busy for the five days of the point to point racing and even for the post-party meeting and socializing. It is going to be a big fanfare at Newport during the midsummer of 2018.

This regatta event will conclude with the awards presentation for all the boat classes that take part in the event. It will be held at the New York Yacht Club Harbor Court grounds. This is a much-anticipated event as Rolex watches will be handed over to the winners of the various divisions.

The 2018 calendar is full for the NYYC as they will also be focusing on the Queen’s Cup, the 164th Annual Regatta, Resolute Cup, and the NYC’s One-Design Regatta’s second annual event.

The NYYC Sailing Committee chairman, Paul Zabetakis said that the summer of 2018 is one of the best times to sail for any sailor. This is the best time to organize great sailing events and also to offer very good on-shore hospitality for the guests and the participants. As the events for the summer of 2018 are diverse at the NYYC, there is a chance for every sailor to take part in the NYYC events.

The 2018 summer season at the New York Yacht Club will kick start with the Leukemia Cup in the first week of June 2018 and this will be followed by the most prestigious and the oldest 164th annual edition of the oldest regatta of North America. The summer season will conclude with the Resolute Cup in September.
